Imagination Productions dba OpenDor Media (“OpenDor Media”, “us”, “we”, “our”) owns and operates https://connecteducation.org (the “Site”). This privacy policy informs the user (“you”) of the Site’s privacy policy regarding the collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information received from users of the Site. It applies to any OpenDor Media site or application, service or tool (collectively “Services”) where this Privacy Policy is referenced, regardless of how the user accesses or uses them, including through mobile devices. By using our Services and/or our Site, you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy and the User Agreement, and consent to the collection, use, disclosures, retention, and protection of personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
As the Site develops, we may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the law, our practices, or the features of the Site. PERSONAL INFORMATION
When you voluntarily provide it, we collect personal information in the course of interacting with the site. “Personal Information” is information that can be associated with a specific user and could be used to identify that specific user whether from that data or from that data and other information that OpenDor Media has or is likely to have access to. We do not consider personal information to include information that has been made anonymous or aggregated so that it can no longer be used to identify a specific person, whether in combination with other information or otherwise. At the Site you are able to subscribe to an email newsletter, sign up for a course, sign up to watch video content, sign up for email, take part in reader feedback, participate in polls or surveys, ask questions, send feedback or make a donation. In so doing, you may be asked to provide personally identifiable information such as your name, address, e-mail address or mobile number. If you choose to refer our classes to a friend, you must provide the name and e-mail address of the recipient. Contact information, such as name, email and phone number, and demographic information, such as zip code, may be gathered from our visitors from information requests or other forms.
COLLECTION AND USE OF DATA
We may use the information you give us to provide services to you, at your request. We may use it to communicate with you through periodic messages regarding services, events, and other information and notices. We may use it for confirmation of donations, registrations, or other actions you take on our site, and for related customer service needs. We use information you provide about others to enable us to send them referral notices, videos you choose to share or other such services. We only use contact information to send information requested or to contact users as necessary.

USER ACCOUNTS
Our website offers downloadable and online teaching resources (both free and subscription-only), as well as services including curriculum and lesson plans. In order to use some of the aforementioned services you have to set up an account. With regard to the registration of an account and its subsequent use, we process:
- Information (such as your title, full name, address and country, email address, job role, place of work and age of students) that is provided by registration
- Information in connection with an account sign-in facility (e.g. log-in and password details)
- Communications sent by you (e.g. via e-mail or website communication forms)
We will process the personal data you provide to:
- Identify you at sign-in
- Provide you with the services and information offered through the website or which you request, including newsletters
- Create and administer your account
- Communicate with you about, and administer your participation in programmes, surveys, contests, and other offers and promotions, to the extent permitted by law, if you have opted in to receive such communications
- Respond to and communicate with you about your requests, questions and comments
- Profile our customer base
- Allow you to comment on our website
We reserve the right to remove an account if we determine, in our sole discretion, that the user has violated any of the Terms of Use, and/or used the site inappropriately or in any way deemed objectionable.
EMAIL SUBSCRIPTION LISTS
OpenDor Media offers a subscription list service to its visitors that you can opt-in to. We will never subscribe you to any mailing list without your request or agreement. If you are subscribed to any lists, we provide the ability to opt-out of receiving these communications from us by following the instruction listed in the email. If we feel that we have provided you with a valuable service and you may want to support us we may send you a periodic solicitation email, which you can unsubscribe from at any time. We will never pass on your email address to a third party or send you spam.
California Residents
If you are a California Resident, you may have additional rights as a matter of California law under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) or California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) (either referred to here as “CCPA”).
You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will disclose to you:
- The categories of personal information we collected about you.
- The categories of sources for the personal information we collected about you.

- Comply with a legal obligation.
- Make other internal and lawful uses of that information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it.
Further CCPA permits users of our website that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
